Scientific Promotions Unit in the College of Administration and Economics

The Academic Promotions Unit in the colleges is responsible for organizing and auditing the promotion transactions of college faculty members (Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Professor) and ensuring their compliance with ministerial and university regulations. Its tasks include receiving applications, verifying the validity of research and service, sending transactions to experts, maintaining files, and issuing the necessary recommendations to submit them to the central committee.

The main tasks of the Academic Promotions Unit:

Auditing and organizing promotion transactions: Electronically according to the electronic promotions system: Reviewing the files submitted by the faculty members to ensure they meet the requirements (research, service, annual evaluation) according to the current scientific promotion instructions. 
Managing the scientific evaluation process: Sending research to experts for evaluation, following up on the results, and maintaining the confidentiality of the evaluation process. 
Administrative promotion procedures: Archiving transactions both in paper and electronically, and preparing official correspondence between the college and the university presidency. 
Monitoring entitlements: Following up on financial aspects related to the compensation of evaluation experts. 
Preparation for Promotion Committee meetings: Preparing the college promotion committee and implementing its decisions.
